Congratulations to Luke Grebenshikoff Selected to Victorian U16 team

The Victorian U16 team have selected Luke Grebenshikoff to participate in the National U16 Championships for their state. The championships are held later this year and will be tightly contested by Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales , Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia.

South Australia are not invited to these championships which is why the Union has developed a pathway for SA U16s to be eligible for the Victorian team. This is a pilot project in 2017 which has already reaped rewards after the State U16s had a very successful tour to Melbourne in June and 6 players were identified and invited to return to Melbourne to skip the open trials and go straight to the team squad training sessions.

These opportunities and pathways made possible through the partnership with Victorian Rugby and The Rebels ensure a quality pathway for top players in Adelaide to pursue rugby without having to leave home. Good Luck to Luke as he starts his rigorous training schedule in preparation for a tough competition
